Morph,
Military and police constantly drill the use of firearms. There's a good reason for that.
Simply owning a gun may make you feel safer, but you may not be any safer unless you regularly train under various scenarios.
there is a surge going on of people buying guns, especially first time buyers.
with talk of police defunding and rioting in the neighborhoods, some people want to protect themselves.. do you support owning and using a gun if needed?.

Rub, the topic of gun ownership keeps popping up here.
My personal opinion is that buying a gun and believing that you are safe is lazy and delusional, particularly if you don't educate yourself by taking regular courses in the use of guns, especially in high pressure situations.
I'm not anti gun, but the thought that people can conceal carry without ongoing training is dangerous for everyone. In a real life scenario, you have half a chance of blowing your own arse off before you stop any crime.
so what the heck are they brainwashing today in the meeting or what ever.
she is in full on cult mode talking about the end of the world.
she asked me to listen to a couple of talks and i respectfully declined.
Maybe its just coincidence, but the handful of dubs I follow on social media have been really quiet over the last few weeks. Usually, I would expect to see a few posts every week at least, but nothing recently.

thx GH

Genuine question ; are gun owners in the US required to participate in ongoing gun training?
the amazing exoneration of info sekta in swiss court has finally reinforced the proper way to exit an abusive cult.. never write a letter of disassociation.
- no need to invoke shepherding or judicial action from elders.

gone for good:
"That brutality worked well for 2000 years but now, thanks to satans' wicked, evil governments - we have universal human rights which relegate religious belief and practice 100% to the voluntary control of the individual in the hope that religion might finally become a comfort and solace during lifes' tumult, and no longer be the blunt instrument of vicious cult enforcement."
That puts it very nicely.
poor watchtower in australia, they made a loss of $1,537,325 in 2019 according to their filings with the government.
they obviously can't participate in the national redress scheme as they don't have the funds.
only problem is that they have sent over $77,000,000 of donations from australian publishers to overseas branches in the past 4 years.

Income:
Grants and donations made for use in Australia: | $19,566,090.00 |
Grants and donations made for use outside Australia: | $1,572,431.00 |
But then this:
Expenses : Donations and Overseas Aid $21,138,521 .
If I am reading this right, in the 2019 financial year, they received $19 mill AUD in donations to be used in Australia but proceeded to donate $21,138,521 AUD overseas, presumably to HQ?
we all know how adam and eve are supposedly responsible for selling all of mankind into sin and thus becoming "slaves to sin".so what they did (if it's not a fairy tale) affected all of the humans that would come after them.then at exodus 34:7 it goes on to show the sins of the father being passed down to the third and fourth generations7 "keeping lovingkindness for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin; and that will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, upon the third and upon the fourth generation.
" (asv)even though i no longer look to the bible or regard it as i once did, i'm just trying to figure where some in today's world can even get the idea others are responsible for things that were done before they were born.
only religion can make people feel guilty for things they never did/done or were a part of and then make others feel as if they're entitled to something..
Feeling guilty about something that happened 200 years ago, is like beating your kids because you stole a chocolate when you were 8.
In reference to BLM, or here in Australia, Aboriginal issues, all anyone can do now is be a decent person and respect everyone equally and acknowledge the past. Deep cuts like racism take time to heal and there has been a lot of progress but there will always be racists, like there will always be morons.

i will try to post a link.. jtg.. australia.. institutions refusing to join the national redress scheme are "doubling down" on the crime of child sexual abuse, prime minister scott morrison says.. mr morrison and social services minister anne ruston have warned institutions they may lose funding and tax concessions if they fail to sign up by tuesday's deadline and will be named and shamed.. "all institutions are doing in not joining is doubling down on the crime and doubling down on the hurt," they said in a letter to 25 institutions.. "we consider it to be reprehensible that you have failed to sign up to the scheme.".
the jehovah's witnesses is among the organisations that has refused to sign up, arguing it does not have the institutional settings of other faith-based institutions that the redress scheme is designed to cover.. senator ruston is set to name the non-participating institutions on wednesday, when she will announce what action the federal government will take against them.. "we urge you to join the scheme not because of concerns about being identified, but because it is the right thing to do," the minister and mr morrison said.. "it is the right thing to do by survivors and their families and it is what every, decent, honest, australian demands.".
"There are now four organisations still holding out — Jehovah's Witnesses, Kenja Communications, the Lakes' Entrance Pony Club and Fairbridge Restored."
This is the current list of organisations that havent joined. There were 6 but 2 joined after the cut-off date.
Kenja Communications, as far as I can tell, is a small, weirdo fringe cult. Fairbridge Restored is a company that is listed as being under administration. And the other one is just a pony club in a small town.
JW's are the only organised religion that have failed to join. They have less than 10 claimants that have registered interest in redress, according to the media, so why hold out? It seems like really bad press for all the wrong reasons.
